



Thick Toast: Fluffy Cream or Toasted Garlic
Thick toast is a beloved breakfast option in Taiwan, known for its delectable texture and delicious spreads. To prepare it, a one-inch slice of bread is cut and a small grid is sliced from both diagonal corners. Next, the bread is coated with your desired spread and placed in the oven to bake. Once ready, the toast is crispy on the edges and soft in the middle, with the spread melted into the grid. Although there are now various spread flavours available, the classic options of fluffy cream and toasted garlic remain a popular choice.
Thick toast pairs perfectly with coffee or milk tea and is not only a scrumptious breakfast but also a soothing afternoon tea option.

早餐厚片吐司:香蒜或奶酥
厚片吐司是台灣早餐店菜單內必有的餐點之一。將土司麵包厚切一英吋,兩個對角線畫個淺溝,再抹上喜歡的抹醬,烤過之後,邊緣香脆,中間鬆軟,抹醬還會融化至淺溝中。厚片吐司演變至今,抹醬的選擇千變萬化,但最經典的口味還是屬於奶酥及香蒜。
